1. Agreement
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and [Company legal name] ("Split Banana", "we", "us") about your use of our mobile apps (each an "App"). Each App's own section at the end of this page adds terms specific to that App. By downloading or using an App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.
2. Using our apps
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use each App on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, as allowed by the rules of the store you downloaded it from (the App Store's Usage Rules or Google Play's Terms of Service). You must be old enough to agree to these Terms where you live, or have a parent or guardian agree for you.
3. Purchases and subscriptions
Our Apps are free to download. Some features need an optional paid upgrade, offered as an auto-renewing subscription, a one-time purchase, or both. What each upgrade includes, its price and its billing period are shown in the App before you buy.
- Payment: charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
- Automatic renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Free trials: if a free trial is offered, you'll be charged when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. Any unused part of a trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- Managing and cancelling: on iPhone, go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. On Android, open Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Deleting an App doesn't cancel a subscription.
- Refunds: Apple and Google process all payments, so they handle refunds under their policies. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com or through Google Play. We can't issue refunds for store purchases ourselves.
- Restoring purchases: use "Restore Purchase" in the App while signed in to the store account you bought with. Purchases carry over to your other devices on the same platform (iOS or Android) and store account.
- Price changes: if a subscription price changes, Apple or Google will tell you as their rules require, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
Nothing in these Terms takes away rights you have under consumer law, such as a legal right to cancel or get a refund in your country.
Ads: some free Apps show ads instead of, or as well as, offering upgrades. Each App's section of our Privacy Policy says whether it shows ads and who provides them. Ads are supplied by third parties, and we aren't responsible for the products or services they advertise.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, modify, redistribute, sell or rent an App or its content, including its sounds, images and text
- reverse engineer or decompile an App, except where the law allows it
- get around features that limit access, including paid features
- use an App in a way that breaks the law or harms others
5. Your content
Anything you create in an App, such as a recording, belongs to you. It stays on your device and we don't receive it. You're responsible for it, including having the right to record anyone who can be heard in it.
6. Our content
The Apps, including their sounds, artwork, design and code, belong to [Company legal name] or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. Open-source software and fonts are used under their own licences, which are listed inside each App.
7. Health and safety
Our Apps are not medical devices. They don't diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and they don't replace advice from a doctor or other health professional. Some Apps come with safety guidance, set out in their sections below. Please follow it. You're responsible for how and where you use the Apps and your devices.
8. Changes to our apps
We keep improving our Apps, so we may add, change or remove content and features, or stop offering an App. If we significantly reduce what a paid subscription includes, we'll tell you in advance, and you can cancel before your next renewal.
9. Disclaimer
The Apps are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don't promise that an App will always be available or free of errors, or that it will produce any particular result (for example, that it will help anyone sleep). This doesn't affect any consumer rights that can't be excluded by law.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, [Company legal name] isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of an App. Our total liability for any claim relating to an App is limited to what you paid for that App in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11. Ending these terms
You can stop using an App at any time by deleting it. Remember to cancel any subscription separately in your store account. We may suspend or end your licence if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms. Sections 5, 6, 9, 10 and 14 continue to apply after these Terms end.
12. Apple App Store
If you downloaded an App from the Apple App Store, these extra terms apply:
- These Terms are between you and [Company legal name], not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the App or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
- If the App fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation for the App.
- Apple isn't responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App doesn't meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection claims.
- Apple isn't responsible for investigating, defending or settling any claim that the App infringes someone else's intellectual property.
- You confirm that you aren't in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you aren't on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
- Where Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement gives you more rights than these Terms, it applies.
13. Google Play
If you downloaded an App from Google Play, you also agree to the Google Play Terms of Service. Where they conflict with these Terms about your use of Google Play, Google's terms apply.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by [Governing law, e.g. the laws of England and Wales], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you're a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and can bring claims in your local courts. Before starting any formal dispute, please email us first. Most problems can be fixed quickly.
15. Updates to these terms
We may update these Terms. We'll post the new version here with a new date at the top, and tell you in the App or its release notes if a change is significant. If you keep using an App after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

App terms
These add to the Terms above for each App. If they conflict, the App's terms apply to that App.
little hush
Baby sleep sounds · iPhone and Android
little hush plays soothing sounds such as white noise, shushing, nature sounds and lullabies. It includes a sleep timer, reminders, widgets, lock screen controls and custom recordings.
Safe use around babies
little hush is not a medical device and doesn't replace safe sleep practices or advice from your doctor, paediatrician or health visitor. When you use it around a baby:
- Place the phone or speaker at least 1 metre (3 feet) from where your baby sleeps, and never in the crib, cot or bassinet.
- Use the lowest volume that works. You should be able to talk comfortably in the room.
- Consider using the sleep timer so sound doesn't play loudly all night.
- Always follow your local health authority's safe sleep guidance.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for harm caused by using little hush against this guidance.
Hush Pro
Hush Pro is an optional upgrade that unlocks the full sound library (and new sounds as we add them), all-night playback with longer timers, and recording your own sounds. The plans and prices available to you are shown in the app before you buy, and section 3 above applies to every plan. The free sounds remain free.
Linkwords
Word puzzle · iPhone and Android
Linkwords is a word-grouping puzzle game. It's free to play and supported by ads.
Puzzles and progress
- Puzzles are generated by the app from our own word bank. We work hard to make every board fair with exactly one answer, but if one seems wrong, tell us the level number and we'll look into it.
- Your level and streak are saved only on your device. They aren't backed up by us and can't be moved between devices, so they may be lost if you delete the app or change phones.
- Levels, streaks and results have no cash value and can't be exchanged for anything.
Ads
Linkwords shows ads provided by Google AdMob, including a short ad between levels. Please don't tap ads you're not interested in, or try to block or interfere with them in ways that break the app.
Sharing
When you share a result, you choose where it goes. Please don't use shared results to spam people.
